‘Popkultur in Düsseldorf e.V.’ started as an affiliation of protagonists from Düsseldorf’s pop-cultural scene(s) with different backgrounds, emphases and know-how in various fields, such as music, production, event, design, film, photography and art.
Their main aim was and still is not only to document the past, the present and the future of pop culture in Düsseldorf – but also to install and establish an independent and sincere institution to shine a light on (and even improve) pop-related topics … That’s why we wanted the the overall appearance to be pretty minimalistic, low-key, concise, objective, classic, documental and timeless.
